ages...

It's been ages since I visited here and now I find that it's all gone weird, don't know how the layout went and got it self all changed! Update and news flash, been making a lot of cake, will post pictures of Guitar, Snail and hungry crocodile, good to feed those creative urges whenever they be happening! There are things on the move too, The Wish, my next illustrated children's book is in production (I am busy lino cutting the pages to be ready for printing), The Court Lodge Sketch project is moving forward, inching month by month and it is really driving it home just how fast time is ticking!I finished the mural at Pixies, anyone like Calvin and Hobbs? check it out! So busy i guess, and yet always that feeling that one should be doing more.

Go Katie, Go!

I have been working on a childrens picture book with David whom I met at the print shop. It has been brilliant watching the illustrations of Katie evolve her into a well rounded and dynamic character. We have just assembled packages to send off to the first batch of publishers and are keeping all digits crossed! Goodluck!

ANIMOCITY - Childrens Picture Book

ANIMOCITY was born in Taiwan from the fusion of two major influences. The overpopulation of the La isla de Taiwán o Formosa, (the beautifull Island) and a longing for the diversity of Africa. Based on an oral tradition of story telling ANIMOCITY evokes a fireside feeling while addressing the problems of modernisation, migration and overpopulation.
'The animals are leaving and we do not know how it started' The book is beautifully illustrated with hues reminiscent of the Southern African landscapes and its earthy tones. It asks questions about the environment and our place in it. It is a picture book that adults will love reading to their children.
